Company Search and Filtering (Pro Panel)
There are two ways to find companies on FreshSignal: the fast, free search on the site, and the rich filter screen in the panel. Search gets you to a single company in seconds; in the panel you build your own target list with location, sector and contact-channel filters, then download it as a CSV or Excel file. This guide covers both, end to end.
Before you start
- No account is needed to search and view company pages.
- An active FreshSignal subscription is required to build filtered lists and download CSV/Excel — available on every plan, including "Starter".
- Knowing your target city and sector (NACE/SIC) roughly makes list building much faster.
- 1
Start from the search box on the home page
Type a company name, part of an address, or a sector into the big search box on the FreshSignal home page — the box prompts you with "Search by company name, address, or sector…". Hit the "Search" button and the results page opens, searching the entire database.
💡 You don't need the full legal name; even a short word works, and exact matches rank first.
- 2
Read the result cards
Each card shows the company name, city and district, company type, "Reg. No", sector and "Founded:" date. The green badges under the card tell you which channels were detected: "Web", "Tel", "Email", "Maps", "Social", "Yemek Sepeti", "Hepsiburada". Results are listed 30 per page; move around with "Previous" and "Next".
💡 The badges answer "which channel can I reach this company on" before you even open its page.
- 3
Check the details on the company page
Click a card to open the company page. The "Key Details" section shows company type, incorporation date, share capital, NACE code and address; the "Detected Contact Information" section lists phone, email and website. The "Verified", "Probable" and "Uncertain" labels next to contact details tell you how much to trust each one; social media accounts, "Official Legal Status" and "News" also live on the same page when available.
💡 If contact details are missing, use the "Request priority contact research" button to have them researched for you.
- 4
Browse the directory when you're exploring
Open "Companies" in the top menu to reach the "UK Company Directory". Pick an area from the "Regions" list, then drill down by district and sector; at each level you see the company count and the company list for that area.
💡 The directory is ideal for sizing up a local market at a glance — how many companies there are and which sectors dominate.
- 5
Start building your filtered list in the panel
The detailed filters live in the panel. After signing in, open "Dashboard", switch to the "Company Data" section at the top, open "Exports" on the left and click the "New export" button. Pick the "Country" — "Türkiye" or "United Kingdom" — and optionally fill in "Name contains" plus the "List date (≥)" / "List date (≤)" range.
💡 Every filter is optional — anything you leave blank means "include all".
- 6
Apply location, sector and digital presence filters
In the "Location" section you can tick multiple entries under "City" and "District"; the district list fills based on your chosen cities ("Pick a city first"). In "Sector (NACE / SIC)" you narrow down through "NACE 2" → "NACE 4" → "NACE 6", and pick legal forms under "Company type". In "Digital presence", set each channel — "Website", "Phone", "Email" and more — to "Has", "Missing" or "Any".
💡 Setting "Phone: Has" and "Email: Has" leaves only companies you can contact right away.
- 7
Pick your columns and download as CSV or Excel
In the "Columns" section, tick the fields you want in the file; toggle the "Basic info", "Address", "Contact" and "Digital presence" groups in bulk with "All" / "None". Enter a "File name", choose CSV or XLSX under "Format" and click "Export" — the file downloads immediately.
💡 Each download holds up to 50,000 rows; if your list is bigger, a "Download page 2" button appears so you can fetch the rest slice by slice.
- 8
Save your filter and reuse it in one click
Use the "Save this filter" button on the same screen to name your filter; it then appears on the "Saved lists" page, and "Open" brings it back pre-loaded into the form. Your past downloads are listed on the "Exports" page, where the "Download" button re-runs the same filters and columns to produce a fresh file.
💡 "Download" always pulls current data — no need to keep old files, your list refreshes itself.
FAQ
Why are there no city or sector filters on the search page?
The search page is deliberately minimal for quick lookups: just the box and results. All city, district, NACE and digital presence filters live in the panel's "New export" screen, where you filter and download the result as a file.
Which plans include exports?
Any active subscription unlocks the panel and exports — every plan, including "Starter". Bulk email lists, sequences and campaigns come with "Professional" and higher plans.
My filter matched more than 50,000 companies — can I get them all?
Yes, but not in one file. Each download is a slice of up to 50,000 rows; after the first file downloads, the "Download page 2" button appears so you can fetch the remaining slices in order.
The "District" list looks empty — why?
District options depend on the cities you selected; tick at least one entry under "City" first. The same logic applies to sectors: pick "NACE 2" before "NACE 4", and "NACE 4" before "NACE 6".
