Privacy and Cookies Policy

Last updated: 6 May 2026

Data source notice: Company information published on this site is compiled from publicly available sources via automated tools and artificial intelligence models. The information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date; it must be independently verified before relying on it. FreshSignal gives no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or currency of the data.

1. General

We, MEZTECH LLC (“FreshSignal”), operate freshsignal.net. The core of our service is the systematic tracking of publicly available digital footprints of companies on the internet (websites, social media, map listings, e-commerce and sector-platform memberships, and so on) and the enrichment of company records with that information. This Privacy Policy explains which data is collected from site visitors and members, the purposes for which it is processed, who it is shared with, and how you can exercise your rights. The cookie section is an integral part of this document.

2. Data Controller

The data controller for the personal data covered by this notice is MEZTECH LLC. MEZTECH LLC is a legal entity registered in the United States and operates the freshsignal.net service through that entity. For data protection enquiries and data rights requests, please contact contact@meztech.llc.

3. Data We Process

FreshSignal may process personal data in the following categories:

  • Account data: The email address and password you provide on sign-up (the password is stored only as a secure hash).
  • Subscription and payment data: When you purchase a paid plan — subscription status, plan type, start and end dates. Card details are not stored by us; payment processing runs via a PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider.
  • Usage data: Navigation on the site, company pages viewed, search and filter activity, session duration, IP address, browser and device information.
  • Contact requests: The content of messages you send via the contact form or email, together with the corresponding contact details.

Company records published on the site are not “special category” personal data in respect of natural persons; they are based on official registry data and publicly available digital presence signals. If you believe a company record contains personal data relating to you, please contact us at the address below to request erasure or rectification.

4. Purposes of Processing

  • Providing the Service, account creation, and session management.
  • Operating subscriptions, billing, and complying with legal obligations.
  • Detecting fraud, abuse, and automated data-scraping attempts.
  • Performance and error monitoring, and improving the user experience.
  • Handling requests and complaints.
  • Meeting legal obligations and responding to requests from public authorities.

5. Legal Bases

Your personal data is processed on the legal bases of performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, establishment or defence of a legal right, our legitimate interests, and, where required, your explicit consent. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

6. Sharing and International Transfers

Your personal data may be shared with the following categories of third-party service providers to the extent necessary to deliver the Service:

  • Cloud hosting and database providers.
  • Advertising and content delivery providers.
  • Measurement, performance, and analytics providers.
  • Payment and subscription infrastructure providers.
  • Competent public authorities (within their statutory powers).

Because MEZTECH LLC is registered in the United States, your data may be processed by service providers located outside the United Kingdom under contractual safeguards. International transfers are carried out in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, using appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent mechanisms.

7. Retention

Personal data is retained for the period necessary for the relevant processing purpose, taking into account minimum retention periods required by applicable law. If you delete your account, your data — except for records we are legally required to retain — will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymised within a reasonable period.

8. Your Rights

In relation to your personal data you have the right to:

  • Be informed about whether and for what purpose your data is processed,
  • Know the recipients to whom your data has been disclosed, in the UK or abroad,
  • Request rectification of incomplete or inaccurate data,
  • Request erasure or destruction where the conditions for processing no longer apply,
  • Object to decisions made solely by automated processing that produce significant effects on you,
  • Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

You can exercise these rights by contacting contact@meztech.llc; we will respond within at most thirty days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

9. Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser when you visit a site. FreshSignal uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Used for session continuity, security, and the core operation of the site; these cannot be disabled, and disabling them will prevent the site from functioning as expected.
  • Performance and analytics cookies: Used to measure visitor numbers, navigation paths, and error rates.
  • Advertising cookies: Used by advertising partners to manage adverts shown on the site, to measure advertising performance, and to serve relevant adverts.

You can manage your cookie preferences via your browser settings, delete existing cookies, or block new cookies from being set. You can change your advertising personalisation preferences via your device settings or the control panels offered by advertising partners.

10. Children’s Privacy

FreshSignal’s services are not directed at persons under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from people in that age group. If you become aware that personal data about a child has been processed by us, please notify us at the contact address above; the data will be deleted within a reasonable period.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be updated from time to time due to changes in applicable law or the evolution of the Service. The current version is always published on this page; the date at the top of the page shows the last update.
