About DaVinci Assessment System The DaVinci Assessment System evaluates students’ foundational and higher-order thinking skills across mathematics, science, reading, and social studies. Based on the latest research in the scientific literature, DaVinci is an internationally standardized, skill-focused assessment application. Supported by six Scientific Research Projects, two of which were funded by TÜBİTAK, the DaVinci Assessment System provides the most accurate, targeted feedback to both students and teachers regarding students’ thinking abilities. The Testing DaVinci application effectively utilizes all materials in educational assessment approaches. It supports every question format—open-ended, matching, short-answer, true/false, and more—and can integrate multimedia elements such as video, audio, and animations that are not feasible in traditional paper-and-pencil tests. The DaVinci analysis model employs a unique statistical approach designed to measure targeted skills in a multidimensional structure. By combining four distinct statistical methods, the model represents a novel and advanced application in educational assessment. What DaVinci Measures DaVinci aims not only to determine which questions students can answer, but also to identify the specific skills that enable them to solve these questions. Examples of such skills include generalization, connecting different pieces of information, identifying valid and reliable sources, and analyzing events in terms of cause-and-effect relationships. Our goal is to measure these and other critical skills while providing the most detailed insights into students’ overall academic performance. Cognitive skills assessed by DaVinci include analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and transfer ability.
