If you are a manager or a coach for a basketball club, you might be spending a great deal of time meeting with scouts, prospecting players and researching basketball leagues across the globe. When the transfer window arrives, you bring together all the information you have at hand. But this process is not easy: You have to go through all your notes one-by-one and you wish any crucial information is not missing. We thought that this long and exhausting process could be replaced by a more productive and an easier-to-use platform. That’s why we came up with the idea of PlayerBucket: A cloud-native platform that saves the club managers from getting lost in excel files and hiding personal notebooks. PlayerBucket, consisting of a website and a mobile phone application, helps basketball clubs in their process of tracking, prospecting and scouting players. Our platform makes use of player data coming from disparate data sources and provides enhanced visibility thanks to its user-friendly interface. Using our platform, club members can track prospects, evaluate alternatives scenarios with regards to their transfer budgets and make the right decision when the transfer window arrives. We are currently working on improving our platform by adding the following features: - A Youth Team section: Where the managers can track the progress of the youth teams at the granular level and head coaches can assign tasks and monitor their progress. - A club board section: Where Marketing, Ticketing and the Team could collaborate on joint tasks - Files: A section where all the relevant documents are stored
