Eos, MN8 and Google Partner on $350 Million Clean Energy Project
MN8 Energy will develop a solar and storage project in West Virginia using Eos Energy zinc batteries, with Google purchasing the clean energy and capacity rights.
MN8 Energy will develop an integrated clean-energy project worth approximately $350 million on a former coal-mine site in West Virginia. The project will combine 86 MW of solar generation with Eos Energy Enterprises’ zinc-based long-duration storage and lithium-ion storage capacity.
Google will purchase the clean energy and capacity rights produced by the project. The solar component is scheduled for 2028, while the long-duration storage systems are expected to enter service by 2030.
