Turkish Competition Board Clears Brookfield’s Sole Control of Oaktree Operating Companies
The Board authorised the move from joint control to Brookfield Corporation’s indirect sole control.
The Turkish Competition Board published its decision dated 14 May 2026 and numbered 26-18/556-206. It unanimously authorised Brookfield Corporation’s acquisition of indirect sole control over the Oaktree operating companies. All legal entities expressly identified in the ownership and control structure are linked as transaction parties; Itasca Re Limited, Castlelake, L.P. and the named asset-management competitors are linked only for market context.
